I went out yesterday and picked some wild Alaskan cranberries from out in the yard.  There are a bunch of cranberries growing wild in the big lightly wooded area behid our garage.

They are lovely berries that are right at the perfect stage now to be picked for use this holiday season. I just picked one bowl today to see how they are, but I plan to get out there before the end of this coming week and pick a bunch more of them.

Most of the ones here in the yard are on the average size, but I did find a few good sized ones.  Need to do some scouting around and see if I can find some bigger cranberries somewhere in the area.
