How to get the Perfect Rabbit Pelt for the Legend of the East Satchel in Arthur's story in Red Dead Redemption 2.
You will need the varmint rifle.
Time of Day: Morning to late afternoon
Location: Pretty much anywhere in the Heartlands
I usually hunt for the rabbits between Horseshoe Overlook and Valentine, or along the roads from there down towards the Dakota River.
Varmint Rifle
The best rifle for hunting rabbits is the varmint rifle. Try for headshots when the rabbits are stationary. If you have to shoot them when they are on the move use deadeye and aim for the head. (I think you can also get clean kills with the bow and basic arrows, will confirm and update this page.)
